Gold Coast has been assigned with a fly-in fly-out coordinator to help residents struggle to find work in the mining industry.
The announcement was made yesterday by Federal Minister Chris Evans.
Under the plans of the state and federal government will commit $800,000
Mr Langbroek said the Gold Coast would get a jobs Coordinator because of the workforce and acceptability to the air services
